The use of recycled and sustainable materials in consumer products is regulated at European level by various regulations and guidelines that promote the circular economy and sustainability:
Waste Directive (2008/98/EC) : Sets out principles for waste management, encouraging reuse and recycling. This directive guides manufacturers to consider the life cycle of products and to use recycled materials in their production.
REACH Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006) : Ensures that chemicals used in the manufacture of products are safe for human health and the environment. SVMSARA guarantees that all materials used in our glasses comply with this regulation.
